Yoichi certainly has a dark past. How far will Masa go to continue to protect him?
Still why was it Yaichi that executed him, unless the proper way is someone in your own gang, then again I have no idea what its supposed to be like. So far what ive gotten from this story is Yaichi was kidnapped by those same people, his family didnt want him, became a gang member, had to kill his own 'sworn' brother, would betray them later on, and is now being hunted by those same brothers.
Yaichi ♥ What a hottie. I like that he got upset at Masa, and oh, Masa didn't move and took the hit to the head. I think that surprised Yaichi. IT IS TRUE LOVE, GUYS, I AM TELLING YOUUUUUUU
Also -- agreed with above. Second season pls! Idk how they're going to end it like it is. (Or why this show is only 12eps in the first place.)
Well, gotta say that long haired Yaichi looks cooler than short haired Yaichi, even though short haired doesn't look bad either.
Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile.
Is it time for my long-awaited return to the forums? щ(゚Д゚щ) Nope™, probably not.
Magnificient direction and a huge build up for the ending. The atmosphere's always so thrilling and the characters' bonds are just extremely rich and compelling. It was a terrific episode and the series is getting better and better. Looking forward to the last episode now !
In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.
Almost the same thing happened to Ichi years ago. Jeez there is no running away from your past always catch up to you no matter what. I freaking like this show the emotion and bond are so good.
It is weird. I find the show really interesting, yet really boring at the same time. I like the atmosphere and the character relationships, but sometimes I just feel it moves so slowly. I can't really describe it aha.
But I am excited for the finale. I wonder how they will end it?

Masa can be truly amazing, he used to piss me off, but now I kinda like his personality. Nice reaction =w=
Wow, I was a little shocked when Yaichi "settle the matter". Well, he never been a softie, but it really surprised me. (he looks pretty good with long hair, btw)
Very good episode. I can't believe this show is gonna be over next week. It's been a pleasure watching this. The director of this series has done a great job so far.
Note: Yaichi's hair is not short now. He just ties it up.
Loved this episode! Masa was steadfast against Yaichi's burst of violence and I really respect him for that. Though I honestly have to say that I really didn't expect Yaichi to just kill the guy. Injure, yes, but not kill.
This was a very interesting episode, can't wait for the finale! ^^

Actually i liked the show but i dont get something. I don't like yaichi. What was the purpose of seeing a victim just like him. Why he betrayed the ones who accepted him as a brother, although he was kidnapped by him. they kidnapped him but the real ones who betrayed him were his family.
i love this story - so atmospheric and increasingly dark - i know what it means to be the unwanted son - like yaichi, like the ransomed boy - everything is wreathed in shadows, uncertainties, impermanence - saraiya goyou captures it all so perfect!!!

to show how we all can fail - we all can betray - there is no certainty in life - if one takes the wrong path, one can end up like yaichi, if one takes the other, a saint - such are the ever-changing sands of reality...
This was a great episode, breath-taking. Masa became serious while Yaichi lost his temper... At last all pieces are falling into place. I wonder how this will end now that Yaichi's past has come to light.
Well, Yaichi sure know make a scene of himself :P
He's no noobie with a sword too. I heard that cutting an head in one cut is an art...
Masa getting serious.
I wonder how it will end. Will Yaichi die? Will Masa still defend him even after all that he have been hidding from him?
«Time is passing so quickly. Right now, I feel like complaining to Einstein. Whether time is slow or fast depends on perception. Relativity theory is so romantic. And so sad.» - Kurisu Makise a.k.a. The Zombie
This was an especially heavy episode. Yaichi is effectively kidnapping people so he can relive his own trauma and indulge in watching others suffer like he did. It's a simultaneous experience of psychological pleasure and pain.
Masa has proven to be very perceptive when it comes to Yaichi and has him near figured out. Yaichi too has subtly gone from deriving amusement from Masa's naivety to finding his keen insight to be frustrating. That flashback was really brutal, I was sitting here thinking "Losing a finger? That'll suck. Oh, he really cut off his finger...wait isn't that too much blood for one measly--oh shit...." Yaichi has already established himself as a dangerous man, but I'd be uneasy af around a guy that disconnected from others.
So Sei was dick, not really surprising since he's looked sketchy as hell since day 1. With just one episode left it seems like the story won't end properly. Shame since it's gotten quite interesting in the past few episodes.
ah shit. why did they only give this anime one single season, this episode is too damn good, i know it will not be wrapped up in the final like this... time to read the manga
