ASI is known to engage in Design Thinking, to employ empathy, identify root causes and rapidly prototype solutions. The company’s delivery methodology is modeled on its “Unexpected, by Design” philosophy which focuses on delivering services intended for positive, transformational client experiences. [1]

One of ASI’s central solutions – Bridge the Gap – supports government agencies in applying new approaches bolstered by technology tools to bridge the gap between procurement and program offices. Acquisition assistance includes knowledge, productivity and learning tools, including the Virtual Acquisition Office™ [2], Applied Learning Online™[3], and Tailored Acquisition Portal™[4].

  • Founded in 1996 as Acquisition Solutions Inc. by former Federal acquisition professionals with a vision to transform government acquisition
  • Developed Seven Steps to Performance Based Acquisition™ methodology in 2000, which is later adopted as government-wide guidance
  • Acquired ICOR partners in 2010 to enhance program management and IT capabilities
  • Rebranded to ASI Government to reflect a broader solution set and exclusive commitment government clientele in September 2010
  • Acquired Frontline Solutions Corporation, a provider of sophisticated solutions to the Intelligence Community, in December 2011

The Virtual Acquisition Office™ (VAO) VAO is for acquisition professionals to stay in the know, engage in continuous learning, and enhance their productivity through daily and monthly news and updates; on-call acquisition research; samples, templates and checklists; Q&As from across the government; and networking and learning events. Applied Learning Online™ (ALO) ALO provides acquisition, contracting, COR/COTR, and program and project management learning modules ideal for meeting continuing education requirements, rapid learning, and application. Modules can be customized to include agency policies and procedures and include video instruction with follow-along text, reach back ability to ask the instructor questions, and practical exercises. Applied Learning modules can also be conducted onsite in a classroom setting.

The Tailored Acquisition Portal™ The Tailored Acquisition Portal™ (TAP) is technology-driven, customized, web-enabled knowledge management and process flow tool that provides a broad array of acquisition information and recommended best practices. TAP is tailored to the unique needs and environment of each client and covers the entire acquisition and contracting lifecycle — stepping users through both the acquisition process and the agency's business process, defining documentation requirements, and embedding tools for easy reference, regardless of the size or complexity of the acquisition. From entry level to senior management, TAP was developed to enable the entire acquisition and contracting workforce to understand and effectively implement acquisition management.
