| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Finally, some focus on Kurokami and the others this episode. I think this episode also had one of the youngest players debut. I was not expecting a bit of a hostage crisis here either I think that other guy is just taking it a bit hard though. I'm also really surprised by that kid's athleticism but then again, IT'S NOT REALLY HIM. It's actually Ginti! The guy has some awesome muscles in the OP song The fiction and themes are strong as ever with this breathtaking episode. |

| The billiard table looked quite amazing with the theme it used. The kid being Ginti in disguise and the man being a doll to test Decim. Didn't expect action of this sort though. Just seeing part of their world and how they deal with irregularities was both quite fascinating. Nona and the man closest to perfection!!! |

| Very different episode thise week with the fake man and boy. And it was good seeing some new characters. Though the interesting thing to me is the book at the end and how its connected to Kurokami. |

| For a moment, I thought the guy with the glasses was a reincarnated soul which came to Quindecim before and somehow remembers his past judgement. But to think it was a dummy sent along with a "kid" was quite an interesting test for Decim. Ginti vs. Decim was awesome though. Why must Nona intervene in such an intense battle? >.< She should've just watched from a distance. I hope Kurokami never gets judged. She's the perfect assistant for Decim. That dream of her was a bit strange though. Nona will probably figure it out soon, seeing that she was reading the book Kurokami was dreaming about. Good episode. Oculus and Castra's character seemed pretty interesting too. Looking forward to see more of them. |

| Looks like there's going to be a lot more to this than just the episodic approach after all. I wonder how the story about Jimmy and Chavvot is going to end up being relevant. Other than that, quite a few interesting and surprising revelations here, some of which definitely open up some interesting opportunities going forward. |
| Dat Galatic Billiards :3 I just love Nona so much. She's really cool ^^ And she's already been here for more than 80 years? :O Onna is a human that knew she was dead? Interesting... Some plot(?) this ep. And we got to see some new characters. The thing that interested me the most was Castra. Observing the death rates 7000/hr. I really wonder how they decide which people to bring in and which not to? What's the significance of Chavvot O_o??? First Onna dreaming about it and then Nona reading the book. So nxt ep won't be Decim and we'll see Ginti in action? Also that Girl wearing a sailor uniform in the OP is gonna be one of the dead people? I wonder what her importance will be since she's in the OP :O Anyway interesting stuff this week. Decim's strings are too BASED and OP!! I can't see him losing to anyone fight wise XD And he even uses them to cover Onna and stuff :P |

| I really liked this episode. Ginti and Decim were awesome. Fake pair though, caught me off-guard there. That Billiard game with the planets was awesome. Great episode. |

It's the same thing that comes out every second season, but nobody seems to care. Six months ago, it was Zankyou no Terror. Now it's this. In the end, I don't hate Death Parade enough to drop it. It's just... really boring. There is barely any similarities here. You are describing a normal process of writing (a beginning, build up and an emotional climax) I don't remember any disturbing climax for Monogatar, Madoka and Anohana, they were all bittersweet at most. The darker themes in Death Parade were already there from the start, from Death Billiards. ZnT seems to fit the most of your idea of rehashed supernatural dark anime, ironically enough it's not supernatural. Being boring is more the reason you should drop it, hate would usually motivate people, apathy doesn't. People care for the differences, what's new is the anime presenting, not for some fundamental similarities here and there, otherwise people wouldn't enjoy certain genres, like romance for example, since most of them are fundamentally extremely similar. |

| so onna is human I figured it was something like that given she doesn't have the same type of eyes that the arbiters have and the ending visual of the opening but i wonder what does that story that she sees in her dream have to to do with her?( backstory maybe?) |

| Ehh.....I am getting really tired Nona acting like a total bitch. As the episode progressed she is starting to piss me off. In the opening she looked fun but as the episodes progressed she is the bitch character. Overall decent episode but it felt kinda forced. Should have had more fluidity in the episode transitions. |
| Quite the interesting episode. That preview from last week was so misleading lol. I thought we were gonna get another pair but instead it was a test. Nice to see more about the system. And wow, Nona has been there for a long time. So it doesn't look like Decim will be making an appearance, or at least it seems we'll be seeing more of Ginti. The Spider's Thread story is interesting, I remember searching it up before when I encountered it in Ergo Proxy. Random, but I just searched it up again and I didn't know it had a significance in Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun...Cool. |

| I hope this episode pleases all the people constantly whining about the plot and characterizations -_- Anyway, this episode was really interesting....A lot of theories I've been seeing has come up and even more have been raised now The old man and the hot head guy did not disappoint me, I really liked both of them a lot....Guess the theories about Nona were indeed true....That's pretty interesting to say the least and I really wanna know what it is that is reason as to why she's so special (What if the kids in the book were she and Decim??) Also, I wanna give props to Chibi Reviews for calling the puppet thing...I honestly did not expect that stuff to actually come true...This changes everything for me I also didn't expect to see the lady in charge of the underworld/void stuff in this episode....She seems like she's pretty lewd =3 lol, I like her The whole thing with Decim and the hot head was great...Decim is a badass now xD Yet again another great episode from the AOTS EDIT: The PV makes me love this anime even more, not only are we going to get an episode that will focus on Ginti being the judge but the girl from the OP is one of the players of the game =o This is gonna be good because she has to be important somehow |

| The old man's name is Oculus, so it would seem he's all seeing and the highest in command. I think he knows what happened to god, and that gods been gone and the yin/yang (righteous/unrighteous) is becoming out of balance because of this. And from what the lady wearing the skull said, I think that eventually the rate of death will lead to an extinction of righteous souls and thus no more souls after the unrighteous are all judged to the void. Souls probably all become corrupt after so many reincarnations, tainted by the sins of mankind, and not enough righteous souls are being made to replenish this deficit. |

| That story reminded me of Monster... This was a good episode. We got to know more of Onna and Decim, as well as how organized the Quindecim is. I feel like this series is getting better, by the fact that the plot it's actually relevant. |
| Hosoyan's character seems intriguing, and it looks like next episode he's going to be our star.I'm really glad it's not all about Decim and Onna, although i love both of them.Also, more Nona please. So Onna was a human before...to be honest that was not so unexpected.I found it more unexpected that for some reason she had memories of dying right when she came to Quindecim, because it was said that memories of people who die are changed right after they die.Is she special, or what. Anyways, i'm highly enjoying it. |
